A Message from Heaven

Perhaps you aren't ready yet
to have to say good-bye...
Perhaps you've thought of things
you wish you'd said-- well, so have I.
For one thing, I'd have told you
Not to worry about me...
I'm with the lord in Heaven now--
you knew that's where I'd be.
I'm sorry that you're feeling sad,
For I'm so happy now...
I've asked the Lord to ease the hurt
And comfort you somehow.
It's hard at the beginning,
but I know you'll make it through...
I hope it helps to know
that I'll be waiting here for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back and take you to be with me
That you also may be where I am

JOHN 14:3 (NIV)

This was given to Sandy & family in a card from a good friend of Deb's, Pam Wagner.  The poem seems to be written for Deb because it is exactly what Deb would have said when she was still with us.

Debra Ann Johanneck was born August 13, 1956 and passed away on the morning of October 24, 2000.  After her year and a half long battle with cancer, we all know that she is in a better place and she will be missed by all.  Deb and her husband Sandy have been active members of the South Central Chapter of ABATE of MN for the last 3 years. Her biggest passion in life was to be on the motorcycle and riding, whether it was around town or going to Sturgis. Her other passions were Tattoos and Bodypiercings.

Deb is survived by her husband Sandy Johanneck, her two daughters Heather Johanneck and Shannon Pusc and her three grandchildren Jordan, Dylan and Cain.

Deb's family would like to say thanks to all the bikers, family and friends that were at the service.  Deb wanted her last ride and she was taken to the Church and Cemetery behind Wingnut's trike. The bikers and Pallbearers were in their leathers and Deb was also in her leathers, so that she could leave this place doing what she enjoyed most and have the people there dressed the way she knew them.

A Special thanks goes out to Tom Guthrie for escorting the Funeral Procession from the Church to the Cemetery, to the Pallbearers and everyone else that was there during this time of need.
