Welcome to the South Central Chapters' web page. We decided to make this
web page in order to keep A.B.A.T.E. members informed about what is going on in
South Central Chapter. We are also trying to let potential members
know what A.B.A.T.E. is all about.
In this web site you will find out
who
we are, what we do, and what we have going on in the future. You
will also find the
minutes from our last meeting
along with the
date, time, and location of the
next two or three meetings.
If you have any questions about A.B.A.T.E. that are not
answered in this web site, you can get in touch with one of our chapter
officers. You will find their names, positions, phone numbers, and
e-mail addresses in the
Our Chapter Officers section of
the web site.
We would like to here your
comments about the web site, along
with what we could do to improve the way that it looks. Thank you for
visiting our web page and we hope you visit every month to see what is new.
On December 8, 2000 the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released the finial version of the National Agenda for Motorcycle Safety (NAMS). NAMS is a 110-page document designed to serve as a blueprint for motorcycle safety for about the next 10 years. This is a very important and powerful document that can work for and against our cause. The best thing we can do to make sure this doesn't end up working against us is to make sure we know what is in the document. Below is a link to the NAMS web page where you can download NAMS and get to know what it says. We want to make sure NAMS ends up working for OUR cause and doesn't end up taking away our freedom to ride.
